The EMS Leadership course has eight lessons and is based on the principle that all EMS professionals must lead within their scope of responsibility and must be given the tools to understand what leadership looks like, feels like, and sounds like. It is designed to fill the void of leadership training – which traditionally exists between entry-level and mid-level supervision.
The course stresses the importance of understanding the true definition of leadership and how participant’s actions and their organizational mission must align with that definition.
The course is designed to provide the essential leadership fundamentals, either as a good review for experienced leaders, or as an introduction to the leader who has been given an opportunity with a new leadership title and subsequent positional power.
At the end of this course, students will be able to achieve the following objectives in accordance with the information received in the eight lessons:

Understand how “Generational” differences affect a leader’s ability to influence an employees.
Understand how to leverage your communication strengths as a leader.
Understand how great leaders inspire actions.
Understand how your self-confidence helps to achieve your goals.
Understand the various power bases.
Understand the various leadership theories and how they can leverage effectiveness for a leader.
